Use the Yates County FOIL form for a focused request. The form describes a five-business-day initial response; it is not a promise that a record will be released within that period. Civil-office hours shown in Sheriff materials are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The jail operates continuously, and emergency questions belong with 911.

For a Sheriff-held booking record or photo, begin with Records. For a Penn Yan Police record, contact the Penn Yan Police Department at 111 Elm Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527, 315-536-4426. For Dundee or Rushville, first identify whether the Sheriff, NYSP, or an Ontario County agency made the arrest. A village office does not automatically hold the agency record.
